Britain’s Got Talent winner of 2018 Lost Voice Guy is currently enjoying a UK tour and this weekend he made a visit to Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre. Lee Ridley, better known as Lost Voice Guy, is a stand-up comedian with cerebral palsy. His show shares some insight into what’s it like to live with the disability whilst being very entertaining.

Ridley is completely engaging and entertaining. Despite having limited movement and no speech, he demonstrates that he has a brilliant sense of humour. This show really is laugh a minute! It is refreshing, in a world which feels the need to be so politically correct, to see someone who has a disability almost make fun of himself. He answers the questions everyone really wants to ask whilst making witty comments about society and the government throughout. He has a great stage presence and I was completely gripped by what he had to share and you could tell the rest of the audience was equally as gripped. When they weren’t laughing or cheering at the critiques of the Conservative party, you could hear a pin drop.

Supporting Lost Voice Guy is comedian-musician Jonny Awsum. He really knows how to work an audience and he manages to get the audience revved up within seconds. His song lyrics are witty and his use of audience participation is spot on. At times, his slot did feel a little panto but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Awsum is great at what he did and he showcased a nice variety of material, whilst promoting his up and coming solo UK tour.

This show is a great fun night out. Both performers are equally entertaining but they give a nice versatility to the show due to the differences between their comedic styles. It’s definitely a show for almost all the family to enjoy, although perhaps leave the young children at home. http://lostvoiceguy.com/
