Brazilian artist Bianca Bertalot brings her distinctive blend of clowning and psychology to the Greater Manchester Fringe in Cinco Coisas, a funny and poignant solo show about emotional development and universal human experiences.

Accomplished Brazilian physical theatre performer Bianca Bertalot presents her solo show Cinco Coisas at the Salford Arts Theatre from 16th – 18th July 2018. A frustrated lecturer tries to explain to us the five things all humans need to develop well. She’s got something important to say and she’s desperate for us to hear it, but she’s hampered by Melanie, the lovably infuriating clown...or perhaps Melanie is helping her make a point? This “poignant, funny and informative” (Bath Chronicle) solo show is a blend of psychology, clowning and theatre. Exploring our most fundamental developmental experiences, Cinco Coisas is a fast-paced adventure that will leave you laughing and keep you thinking.

Cinco Coisas has been received with acclaim in the UK and Brazil for the way it tackles sensitive and complex issues in a light-hearted and accessible way. It appeals to all ages and backgrounds and draws in traditional and not-so-traditional performance-lovers alike.

“A highly imaginative, warm, humane and expertly executed performance that reaches to the heart of being human”. (Bath Chronicle)

“Bianca Bertalot is a generous, sensitive and hilarious performer and the show carries a life-affirming message for everybody.”- Holly Stoppit (Artistic Director, Beyond the Ridiculous)

Cinco Coisas has been supported by Arts Council England, The Trinity Centre, The Island, The Greenback Pub and Madam Renards.
