There’s nothing more exhilarating than the live music experience - the energy and excitement of hearing your favourite band live is a high which is hard to beat.
Sometimes it’s not always possible to hear your favourite band or artist and that’s where ‘The Classic Rock Show’ at The Lowry comes into its own.
Live on the stage you will hear the mega-tracks of Rock from the likes of David Bowie, ACDC, Meatloaf and Led Zeppelin all performed by an incredibly talented 11 piece group.
The band work like a well-oiled machine together from start to finish and are led by incredible vocals by ‘Chris’ who does justice to pretty much every rock song performed, assisted by other vocalists; Emily Jollands, Henry Burnett & Alex Dee.
The show doesn’t just focus on one band or artist and instead provides you with the Greatest Rock hits of all time performed live; like a sort of ‘cool’ tribute or live jukebox. It must be said this show features some unbelievable guitar riffs which would make any rock fan squeal with sheer delight, James Col & Howie G are forces to be reckoned with, along with Wayne Banks on bass.
The stage is awash with moving lights and a dominant big screen and it’s easy to get carried away in the Big Classic Rock experience, and it’s no mystery to see the audience rocking in their seat early in the show.
My personal favourite was their version of Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin which opened the show, it gave you an immediate smile on your face watching the sheer scale of the show.
The classic rock show features uber talented musicians and vocalists, a brilliant ‘who’s who of rock’ set list and a stage lighting rig which you’d expect at an arena show, this is one show which is sure to delight any rock fan!
Verdict: They rocked from start to finish!
