Following their successes with Hairspray and Sister Act, Blackpool and Fylde Light Opera Company return to The Grand’s stage this October with the Olivier Award-winning Legally Blonde The Musical, set to be yet another must-see performance.
St. Paul's Players Adlington are busy preparing for their next show, 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' which promises to be something completely different. Spelling Bee is set in the fictitious Putnam County and is an insight into the competitive nature of an America tradition, the spelling bee.
PANTOMIME AUDITIONS AT NEW MILLS!
The pantomime season is not too far away and preparations start now for Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs to be staged at The Art Theatre, New Mills, in January and February 2016.
If you are interested in being in the pantomime - pop along to their GET-TOGETHER at The Art Theatre, Jodrell Street, New Mills, SK22 3HJ on Monday, 7 September at 7.30pm. At the Get-Together you will meet the Director and production team and find out all about the show and collect audition pieces. All are welcome – whether you have had previous stage experience or not.

Salford based Quaytickets is celebrating its 10th birthday in style by signing a ticketing agreement with two high profile West End theatres.
The agency will process some 60,000 tickets a year for the famous Aldwych and Dominion theatres – which are currently home to Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Lord of The Dance: Dangerous Games respectively. Both theatres are owned and operated by entertainment industry giant, The Nederlander Organisation.
Honk! is the musical version of The Ugly Duckling, a story by Hans Christian Andersen that we all know. This musical was written by Anthony Drew with music by George Stiles and the original production opened in Scarborough in 1997, although there was a try out version at the Watermill Theatre in 1993.
Opening tonight at New Mills Arts Theatre the show runs until the 20th June with tickets just £9 & £7.

When their wives join the Women's Peace Movement, Nobby, Tommy and Ken, pals in the Territorial Army, treat it as a joke. But as the women become more involved in demonstrations the men become the laughing stock of their TA battalion. Finally, the women, attempting to make their husbands give up the army, go on sexual strike with the slogan "No Nooky Against the Nukes". A wry, amusing look at the nuclear disarmament issue set in the author's North of England.
This amateur production is produced by arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
