In these times of #Stay at Home, there are plenty of free online reruns of great theatre. As it was Good Friday, The Show Must Go on offered another Webber/Rice musical, this time the 2012 Live Arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.
For the first time since it was written, 40 years ago, Alan Bleasdale’s hit play ‘Down The Dock Road’ comes to Royal Court Liverpool starring Les Dennis and Andrew Schofield.
The show was a sell out when it opened in 1976 and it is a great honour for the Royal Court to be hosting the 40th Anniversary Production in Spring 2016.

Skating spectacular takes audiences to four far-away lands in one action-packed ice adventure
Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they commemorate 25 years of Disney On Ice across Europe in an action-packed ice adventure that travels to four magical destinations! Disney On Ice presents Silver Anniversary Celebration will take audiences on a fun-filled tour of the imagination. This ice spectacular visits Liverpool from Wednesday 16 March to Sunday 20 March for 9 magical performances at Echo Arena.
Home, a new multi-disciplinary production from Physical Lab’s Yorgos Karamalegos, will be premiered in Liverpool this week.
The drama will be staged at the city’s independent Unity Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday, 24 and 25 November. Home will then head to London’s Chisenhale Dance Space, on Friday and Saturday, 29 and 30 January 2016. There are then plans to tour the show nationally and internationally in 2016/2017.
Home is an original devised multi-disciplinary performance inspired by Euripides’ Medea, which will immerse the audience in a world of powerful emotions and senses. Euripides offers a timeless study on political and social issues, as well as deep contemporary insight into the human psychic.

Casting is today announced for the international award-winning musical CHICAGO, which plays at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Mon 20 – Sat 25 June 2016 as part of national tour.

Earlier this year, the Octagon Theatre announced that Elizabeth Newman was to become the 8th Artistic Director, following David Thacker’s six years in the post. We will make more co-productions, work for children and young people, and open our Studio doors to new artists, companies, and theatre makers.
